Postponed weddings and wedding makeup – April 2020 – Manchester
So I guess that unless you have been sleeping under a rock for the last six weeks or so you know that many of the countries in the world, including our beloved UK, are in lockdown.
Corona virus is sweeping the earth’s shores and to minimise the spread our Government have asked us all to stay home, stay safe and protect the NHS. This of course means that weddings are a big “no no” at the moment and so I am currently working with a lot of sad and disappointed couples who have had to make the tough decision to postpone their weddings until later this year, or next year, when the world is back on its feet again.
Thankfully, with only a couple of exceptions, I have been able to move all my clients’ bookings to their new wedding dates and I look forward to working with them all when those dates come around. But although weddings have been successfully postponed it is still a very sad time for couples and their suppliers who are having to accept that, for the time being at least, life is not even close to normal (which I realise is the case for most people).
This time is a great test of your commitment to your work and your love for what you do.
Thankfully, I can resoundingly say that I hugely miss my work and my brides and their wedding mornings and I will be chomping at the bit to get back to them. I LOVE MY JOB.
I am hopeful that the current suggestions on the news that life might be something close to normal by the end of May/early June are true … but I guess we will just have to see.
For now though, I thought I would follow my children’s (and those across the country) wish to fill the world with rainbows (to give passers by something to look at on their daily walk) and add some colour to my page with some of my favourite, colourful shots from the last year. I hope you like them.
With much love
Stay Home, Stay Safe, Protect the NHS.
